On May 17, the facility department of Agricultural Engineering College organized a teacher-student Symposium on mid-term teaching inspection in the second semester of 2020-2021 academic year. Professor Zou Zhirong, founder of facility agricultural science and engineering, as well as teachers and student representatives of all grades in this semester attended the discussion.
At the meeting, Mr. Song Jinxiu, deputy director of the Department of facility agricultural science and engineering, introduced the main contents and significance of the symposium, and encouraged on-site student representatives to speak freely about teachers' teaching, classroom management, professional content, student service and other issues. Student representatives put forward many constructive opinions and suggestions on professional development, professional prospects, teaching contents and teaching methods. Individual student representatives expressed interest in the postgraduate entrance examination and wanted to know more policy information. Professor Zou Zhirong and the teachers gave answers one by one, and said that they would communicate with the relevant teachers of other colleges in time and strive to create the best learning conditions for everyone.
Professor Zou Zhirong summarized the meeting and put forward three requirements for Undergraduates: first, make it clear that learning is the first priority of students, take the initiative to learn and create a good style of study; Second, students need to strengthen communication with teachers, actively contact counselors, academic tutors and colleges to help solve problems; Third, student representatives should pay attention to widely collecting students' demands and timely recording, feedback and tracking.
The teacher-student Symposium on mid-term teaching inspection is an important link in the teaching management of the college. The facility department will take this as an opportunity to promote the connotative development of the "new agricultural" specialty and continuously improve the teaching quality of the specialty.
